Wedding Photographer Bristol - Your Guide to Choosing a Wedding Photographer

It is, after all, Great Britain and, in Bristol at least, there is a small chance it may rain. If you are getting married in the winter, are there any samples of winter weddings?

Qualifications

So what should you look out for when choosing your wedding photographer? To begin with, qualifications. Here in the UK, we have a number of photography associations - some will let join no matter how many, or in some cases few, weddings you do and others, like the Master Photographers Association (MPA), will only allow full-time professional photographers to join. So if you see the MPA logo, at least you know you are dealing with a professional wedding photographer and not someone who shoots the odd wedding to earn a bit of extra cash. Booking a professional photographer over a keen amateur should also ensure that he or she turns up equipped properly to photograph your wedding. Unlike the enthusiast, the professional will have pro equipment and, most importantly, two of everything as even the best equipment can go wrong.

Meet your Wedding Photographer

So you have now decided you like a photographer's work - what next? Always make an appointment to meet with them. In this meeting you should get to see samples of their work. Make sure you are shown some albums where all the photographs come from one wedding. It's very easy to display a wonderful album with just the best pictures from each wedding.
